My personal preference in the visual arts runs to statuary, for which Florence is an absolute goldmine. Unfortunately, much of it is not available to be photographed due to museum or church policy (or simply because there wasn't time!). Nonetheless, to the left is a tiny sampling of of the ones I could capture. Clicking on David will result in a rather large image - all the better to face Goliath! Regrettably, in this shot much of his sling is hidden behind his body.

The three grouped statues to the lower left are from the Loggia della Signoria, an open-air (but covered) platform dating from the late 1300's.

Not to confuse you, but the Baptistry Door Panel photo to the left really belongs on the previous page. But I needed a filler here!
