Aberfeldy

The rest of Day 4 provided a number of options. I and a few others decided to head to Aberfeldy for a brief look around and to pick up lunch and a few provisions before heading west along the shore of Loch Tay to Killin, where a folk festival was under way. As a result I had to pass up a visit to the Dewars Distillery. Life is tough!

But the ride to Killin (Kill~in') made up for that many times over, as I hope these photos suggest.

When I arrived in Killin around 3:30 Saturday afternoon, tents were pitched everywhere and the place was "jumping" with people enjoying the groups that were playing in every pub and out in the street. Guitars seemed to predominate, but there were certainly bagpipes and fiddles as well. The one common element was lots of good brew!

Thank heavens Saunie and Herb had already agreed to pick us up in the van around 5 p.m. and drive us back to Kenmore, 'cause I couldn't possibly have cycled all the way back.
